What are the guild ranks?
Officer - These are the guild officers. They are the ones responsibility for the health of the guild making the decisions regarding raiding, loot, and membership.
Core Raider – Senior raiders (see below) that have proven over a length of time to be reliable and skilled. Only Core Raiders are guaranteed a raid spot.
Raider - Members that have proven that they are capable of playing their toon in a skilled manner as well as being an overall asset of the guild. This takes into the account class knowledge and attendance.
Trial - Player that wish to make raider rank and there is currently an available spot for them in raids.
Community - Two types of players in this category.
-Players that have proven that they are capable players but currently are unable to attend raids consistently.
-Players that are capable players and wish to raid but there is not currently a raid spot available for their class.
Friends & Family – Players that are here simply to be with friends/family. These are non-raiders and are not considered for raiding positions. These players can be invited to normal raids but will be considered after all of the previous ranks.
Alts – Alternate toons of one of the above categories. The name of the main toon is listed in notes.
How do I get into main raids?
At raid time it is assumed that all members that are on and ranked Officer, Core Raider, Raider, Trial, and Community wish to raid in the main raid. Please do not bother an officer for an invite.
How are people picked for main raid?
Main raid is filled based on 2 criteria. First and foremost is raid makeup this is the determining factor for who does or does not go. The second criteria is rank. Invites are extended in the following order:
Officer/Core Raider > Raider > Trial > Community
Raiders are not guaranteed a raid spot. We currently have 35+ members who are raider and above and only 25 spots available. Show up on all 3 nights and your chance of getting an invite is greatly increased.
Will I get to raid every raid?
Raid spots are a privilege not a right. There may be nights you have to sit because of raid makeup, attendance, or poor performance; this is part of being in a progression guild. You have to earn your regular raid spot. Don’t expect it just cause you show up a few days a week.
What if i am asked to raid on just one boss?
You have made the choice to be in a progression guild, sometimes that means you are saved to one boss and get no further raiding. Officers see who makes the sacrifices and who doesn’t. Do what is right for the guild as a whole and the guild as a whole will do right by you.
How long will I remain a trial?
You will remain a trial until officers believe you have earned a raider rank by being available and ready to raid and by your performance in those raids.
How do I go from Raider to Core Raider?
You will remain a Raider until officers determine you have earned your Core Raider rank. Core raider is earned by consistency in attendance, performance and attitude.
What if I am community and want to be Raider?
If an opening for a specific class or type (ie range, melee) becomes available officers will discuss with you becoming a raider if you were invited specifically to wait for a raid spot. If you are community rank because of your schedule and you have a schedule change then speak with an officer about the opportunity to change rank. In both cases you will start as a trial and have to work for your raider rank.
What if I am Friends & Family and want to become a raider/community?
All F&F members have joined under a “sponsor”. Speak to them about the availability of raiding positions first. You will be required to meet the needs of any community/trial member to change ranks and will need to speak with an officer regarding that change. Friends and family generally stay friend and family unless they have proven themselves to be worthy of another rank.
What is the secondary/alt 25M run on Saturdays?
Faded runs a second 25M run on Saturday. This run is mostly for fun and not an “official” raid day. The raid is filled with raiders that have been asked to sit or have a legitimate reason for not making the main raid. The remainder of the raid is alts/community.
What is the priority for invites for the secondary/alt run?
The only priority is to include raiders that were legitimately unavailable for raid during the regular raid week. Alts and community are considered equally based on skill, gear, and raid makeup.
What if I would rather run in the Saturday runs?
Our regular raid week is Tu-Th. We do not guarantee raiding on Saturday nor will you get a spot simply because you don’t want to raid during the week. The opportunity for raiders to take their alts to these runs is a perk for them showing up to main progressions raids. (yes what you do during the week effects your ability to get s spot on Saturday)
What are the secondary/alt run loot rules?
Loot rules are need before greed on all gear. All toons are equal and it is up to the winner of an item to determine if they wish to pass for a main raider or not. Do not attempt to take advantage of this rule it will bite you in the ass every time.
