Congratulations to Treeantis on getting Shadowmourne !!!!! Woooooot! The guild will be starting the next one with the new raid week. Hatem is the third person up for getting shadowmourne with seloria getting the shards if Hatem isnt available.

We also want to give a warm welcome to our new members that have joined us. We are glad to have them join our ranks and pick up raiding with us.

The downtime of the website is still a mystery but everything seems to be normal again.

A couple weeks back we took our progression in 25M to 11/12 Heroic. With this being the end of life for this xpac and summer being in full swing the dedication our members have shown to continuing our march through progression. Finally some of the rarer pieces of loot are dropping, and Treeantis is well on his way to getting his legendary which will be the guilds second one.

We have 2-3 10M groups also working on LK Heroic, so as a whole the guild is doing great. Guildies are enjoying summer and the break before Cataclysm drops, we will I am sure get LK 25 down in the next few weeks and will enjoy the end of life process. Faded celebrated their 1 yr birthday on June 8th. Looking at our core raiders 80% of them were here when the guild was formed, the longevity, loyalty and dedication our members have is unmatched and its truly a pleasure to be in a guild that is so strong.

Saturday’s we are still doing combined 25m runs with another guild, to gear up some alts and see how far a somewhat consistent group can go. We easily do 11/12 with 5 heroic kills included which is pretty good for alts, community and a few pugs.

Faded progressed this raid week, we got our Sindragosa Hard Mode kill which is a great success. I personally am not sure which is more difficult Lady Deathwhisper or Sindragosa (both women .. curious isnt it). The kill was very clean and as we cleared LK and PP a few of our members made sure to teleport back to her to make sure she was indeed dead.. and she was. This weeks efforts will be focused on Professor Hard mode and then of course we will be starting LK. Our PP attempts have been solid so a kill is definitely on the horizon for us. This puts us 10/12 Hard Modes.

A little something I wanted to share. I think its important to point out that even if we are not “#1″ as far as statistics are concerned our successes are huge. There are about 8-12K people on Zuluhed (and yeah i dont really care what other servers are doing cause thats not where we live) and if you look around we are the exception not the rule. We have guild members with 2-3 Kingslayer titles across toons where a good 80% of the realm doesnt have 1 toon that has even seen past plague wing. Members with 2 Bloodbathed wyrms and other than one other guild there are none on the server.

We are the exception, we should embrace Faded because we really are pretty fracking good, I am as guilty as the next that I forget sometimes how great we are when I am face down looking at Sindragosa for the umpteenth time. Attitude goes a long way in game if we all have a good one it will make everything better. As a guild in general we are pretty laid back and we have somehow managed to maintain a pretty fair mix of casual and hardcore; never giving in to the progression beasts. Officers are kings of maintaining a group of people that genuinely enjoy playing with each other and rank at superior to very good players. We are fortunate to be in a guild where our members actually like being with each other outside of raid time, it seems to be more common that progression guilds are more like a job and guildmates are fine and all during “raid time” but you dont want to get near them outside of that time.  Faded isnt like that most of our members seem to genuinely get along and like doing things with each other in game all the time; seeing groups of faded members isnt rare (you dont see that often with other guilds). It also only takes 5-10 minutes in a pug raid to be reminded how good our members are at playing their toons. Even those that may only play as community frequently outshine the AVERAGE pug.

Keeping Faded running smoothly is no easy task, I know officers get mostly the butt end of situations but I think everyone should be sure to take a few minutes to realize that we have well over 100 different people with needs in the guild and officers (only 4 of them) do a remarkable job maintaining harmony. Thank them for their efforts if you havent. Being an officer is job that they dont get paid for and one that carries a lot of stress (even though its JUST a game) a little appreciation goes a long way. I know (especially myself) dont always agree with the decisions, choices, options given to us but they make the best call possible for the guild as a whole and in general they do a mighty fine job.

Lets get Professor and Lich King hardmodes down.. we have it in us.. we just need to FOKUS!
